create a positive vision and belief in the possibilities.
Do you have a dream? This is the place to build it!
Sault Ste. Marie, get ready to grow!

Destiny SSM is a partnership that works to develop high-level strategies that align and direct community efforts in a way that ties back to organizational goals and actions.  Measuring the magnitude of this partnership is long-lived, as the work being done is for the future creation of sustainable industries and opportunities.  As Bill Therriault, the past director, says, "We have a dynamic partnership of various community groups working together that has and will continue to make the Destiny SSM strategy a success.  This success has captured some national attention, a tribute to the efforts of everyone involved.  For example, Thunder Bay is currently adopting parts of the Destiny Sault Ste. Marie model in developing their economy, and we've been asked to present the Destiny project at the Economic Developers Association of Canada's 2005 Conference in Edmonton, Alberta."

The success of this strategy depends on community attitudes and actions.  To be truly effective, collaboration is key, and that is what Destiny SSM works to facilitate – strong partnerships that attracts investment and adds to the prosperity to the community.
